Landis+Gyr (SIX:LAND) has been selected as one of the key suppliers in Enea Operator's groundbreaking smart metering rollout. Over the next five years, the Polish distribution system operator plans to install three million smart meters across north-western Poland. This initiative is in line with the Polish regulatory framework, mandating at least 80% of households should be equipped with smart meters by 2028.
As part of the project, Landis+Gyr will provide state-of-the-art E360 smart meters that will boost grid efficiency, improve energy management and provide consumers with real-time data on energy consumption. Enea Operator is working closely with selected vendors to make full use of the metering data, strengthening its distribution network and streamlining operations.
